Rich & Homeless

February 19, 2022
The real home of the rich is in the heart, and not in the religion of money. The rich need to ‘let go’ of living financially, or known as, ‘for the love of money’. To be rich is usually to be homeless in the heart. Joke is, they won’t let go of the obsessive chase of money because of fear even though Mr. and Mrs. God are going to invite them into the ‘mystery’ plateau above or below at any moment! Isn’t life wonderful?! Join me, I’m a billionaire with no money, no fear, and a great life, moment to moment, and who knows about ‘the big party on the other side’ where money doesn’t exist. Or….will you even be invited upstairs?

I spent 20 years in the corporate and successful world of New York City, and quite by chance as I had no idea at anytime in my early years, having just finished 5 years of college that I would make a career in marketing especially in the ‘Big Apple’ of New York. Before leaving NYC, and promises of making lots more money, and while sitting out on my balcony near top floor of a 52 story building the day after Christmas having made no where near millions, but still more than 95% more than others, I felt the adrenaline to acquire more and more. But, I could see it was definitely for the pleasure of riches it brought, that it was a ‘religion’ taking over the developing spiritual side of me. Actually, treating myself with many consumer perks was quite nice, but at the expense of real inner living.

Money and making it is like an endless supply of air. It only stops when breath stops unlike most things like being an athlete even though the career is over by 30 or 40, if you’re lucky. With money it often it’s just beginning (sometimes earlier of course). An athlete knows when it’s time to stop. Money chasing is an addiction that can go on throughout life while the chase compromises certain moral values and closes the heart for opting the pleasures of the body and mind with little regard for the art of giving, and love beyond the superficial.

Those on a path of more money than they need are as much of a sheeple life as are the masses who have little idea what’s going on except looking for their own comforts. Greed is part of gaining monetary richness as it is in other ways for the masses who treat life as owing them a living. It’s all greed void of true heart and thankfulness for the blessing of life.
Feigning love to others and especially to yourself is to deplete the bank account of the heart. Nothing is what it seems. Listen to your heart that’s where the real riches are hidden!

Two Ears One Mouth

June 21, 2021
The reason for two ears and one mouth is to ‘listen’ more than talking! Joining a big Corporation in NYC out of college, one thing stressed in our sales meetings were, ‘shut up and listen! Another good complimentary advise with that was the acronym, ‘KISS – keep it simple, stupid’. Talking too much (a tsunami of the lips) for the listener to care or pay attention to is being too self absorbed and insensitive to the hopeful listener.
Talking over people is akin to quickly going thru a red light rather than
stopping as a courtesy and respect for others. I recall one friend who was so non stop talking, that I could put the phone down and come back minutes later, and he would still be talking. Of course, that sounds impolite too, but over time I’d asked him to tune in to the art of two way communication which involves empathy for the others feelings.

Why be attached to your bad habits, or the fear of getting others opinion about them, especially those who you value as having common sense, and having a constructive criticism. Worse yet perhaps is to ignore a habit that annoys others rationalizing because no one says anything (out of politeness or fear of your reaction) that is symptomatic of selfishness. Continued non correction of unthoughtful outer behavior is a reflection of an inner

reaction to unresolved issues. It’s a given natural to want freedom, yet we put ourselves often in the shackles of our own rigidness to positive change.

Listen to the heart speak its volumes while seeking its

unison with the receiver. Words are overrated and the volume of hearing automatically goes down with lack of or feigned interest. Certainly

there is a time for words, but best when in synchronicity with conscious openness and sensitivity. Words in print allow for keeping in precise tune with no overtaking.

Sometime the ‘sounds of silence’ can open a new world of communication that
mysteriously foments a deeper understanding and friendship. Words can clutter the

mind such that many are in a ‘word jail’ or life with them shackled in prison. Intellect is of the mind, and it’s good to have the ‘intelligence’ to know when to let it go and enjoy the nature of just being in a healthy, calm, smiling way. You are ‘saved’ when in harmony with all! A smile is wordless!

Smoking Pot or Meditation?

Smoking Pot or Meditation? 🍹

November 28, 2020
What goes around, goes around. It’s good to talk about anything. Sometimes we need to relax and have a beer or a good hit of weed. Most agree that it’s ok. Too much of anything seems to be a problem, most would agree. For those choosing neither, a relaxing stimulant, god bless them. It’s a confusing, stress full world for most. Things are changing at alarming rates and the speed of that is out of control. WE need to keep all of our ‘mechanisms’ in top working order especially our mental, emotional, spiritual, and common sense working at top notch.

Any psychological professional would agree that there can be too much beer or too much

weed consumed for personal inner growth. It’s counter to their trying to help free yourself from accumulated ‘flotsam’ floating in the brain and heart. However, it pays the bills and all the luxuries that are gifts from the profession.

Now there is another ‘backup method’ to what stimulates the mind that all sensible, honest, informed professionals of mind or religion like to avoid talking about, or especially promote. That ‘back up method’ is methods of life’s greatest gift, ‘breathing’ or the ‘art of breathing’, sometimes called ‘meditating’ techniques … or meditation. Meditation was unheard of in America until the 2nd half of the 20th century. Stimulants precede our founding fathers as a ‘quick fix’. Now days it’s so quick, some nefarious souls drop it in others drinks for ‘mind control’. It’s kind of like ‘pulling the rug out from under you’ where you lose all control of the mind, and other faculties.

Dancing can become a form of meditation where the dancer becomes the dance and with a natural loss of the mind. Many happenings can become the gift of pure awareness, … and naturally. Meditating frees the heart and mind, and deeply from all prior distractions or impediments to being the ‘free you’ void of all unnecessary fear and control. Meditation brings you up with no down. It’s not a temporary blanket … and it’s free. That’s why the ‘shrink’ avoids bringing it up. In the case of the ‘religion head’, they know, (Or … maybe don’t know it?) frees the need for religion and it’s ‘beliefs’. Beliefs can and do become a ‘drug’ or stimulant. Someone just said to, me if ‘mistletoe’ can be a meditating devise? Hmmm? Well love and especially deeper love is a meditation, and maybe the ‘deeper love’ is all that’s needed. Stimulants are quick picker uppers. What makes you up, will bring you down. Meditation is a clearing of what’s not really you into a natural inner joy and bliss. And, it’s free!
