Love Your Neighbors Wife

August 6, 2023

‘Who you going to love’ when love comes easily within you? Start with, why not the one who loves you, and maybe secretly love who you want to! Really, it says so in the Bible! The two most important verses in the Bible say – 30 ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ The second is this: 31 ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ ”There is no commandment greater than these.” Love doesn’t put limits on its feeling.

Love is free as well as its opposite like hatred, scorn, abuse, apathy, fear, etc. Love conquers all of them. It is often said that love conquers all, that love is the greatest force in the universe. It is the force that gives healing and life, binds souls together, and whispers to us that all will be well. Love is the ‘harmonious positioning’ of all. We can see throughout the Bible, as well as in all ‘holy scriptures’, that love conquers fear, evil, and sins.

But the power of love comes from its source. It is not a thing in and of itself. This is the mistake the world often makes. When love becomes the force we honor or worship, its power vaporizes. But if we let the radiance of love beckon us back to its source, we find the true reason as to why love conquers all. We find there is a Lover behind love, and that Lover is committed to conquering all that is not love and all that is not lovely.

Your most important neighbor shouldn’t be just a neighbor apart from you, but the love that awaits inside you is like a ‘stream of Spring’ without dams to regulate it. The wise have learned to unleash the force of that power of compassion, joy, and bliss within, especially when needed. The ‘light is always on’ ready for action that best guides you through thick and thin. Love has a ‘thermostat’ that when one has no barriers, especially those unresolved from childhood, will automatically express itself ‘full strength’ when opportunity knocks.

Now about ‘loving your neighbor’! That includes ‘everyone’ and certainly is best shown in ways of compassion and empathy. Now as far as the neighbor being a ‘pretty woman’ (man?), that’s acceptable too, as is loving the one you’re with deeply. Fear of that deep love being for only one, is unnecessary as we’ve been conditioned to accept. However, experiencing in tandem with the mind of common sense and full heart, love will find it a spiritual exercise that is beyond actions of possession even with no lack of love from the other. Always enjoy the love of whomever you’ve experienced it with forever … and, the stranger whom you haven’t met, not just yet! All have been strangers before we loved them!
